Jet off with Ease!

Aviation news to make us smile… at long last the local airport of Preveza will now welcome in two flights a week from budget airline Easyjet.

Starting Sunday 17th May 2015 Easyjet will fly from London Gatwick every Wednesday and Sunday until October. This is great news for the island of Lefkas and the surrounding area as the independent traveller can at last be embraced! Flights can be found for less than £150 return. It is a well known fact that paying less for your flight only means having more to spend once here on holiday thus providing a great boost to the local economy.

For us it is even greater news, we hope to introduce more mountain bikers to the area and as we speak are working on some great long weekend packages for those that can escape for just 5 days!

But a word of warning, seats are booking up fast and any frequent flyer knows Easyjet prices only go one way… up! So book now to avoid disappointment!

Baggy Shorts!

We’re heading into our 4th year offering guided mountain biking and over the past 12 months we’ve seen an increased demand for road bikes, so we’re excited to announce we now have some Saracen Tenet 2015 road bikes available for rent. Simon A took one out for the first time so here is a mountain biker’s experience of being a roadie…

Being a committed mountain biker I am proud to say the only Lycra featured in my wardrobe are my padded UNDER shorts. So on a clear sunny day I donned my usual gear and headed up the zigzag road towards Vafkeri looking and feeling like an amateur. My first cycle after the festive period and the sweat was pouring off, made all the worse by the fact it took me a while to work out how to change gear on this alien machine.  The descent was exhilarating and very fast, with my baggy shorts flapping in the wind I couldn’t help but over shoot the switch back corners while desperately trying to stay in control! I wouldn’t say I’m hooked but I’m looking forward to giving it another go and learning something new. But Lycra… not just yet!

Check out some of my GoPro footage here on instagram.
